From the Principal

    • Welcome to what is going to be an amazing school year here at Mile High Middle School. This is my first year as the principal of Mile High and I am beyond excited to be a Badger Pup! I have been in education for over 14 years and have been a teacher, instructional coach, and an administrator over the course of these years.  My passion has always been and will continue to be, helping children and teachers grow in learning. We are excited to have a wonderful year partnering with our staff, students, families and community for the 2023-2024 school year.

    • Growing up in Prescott, I know what it means to be a Prescottonian! I am coming back to Mile High after being a middle schooler here and starting my career here, where I student taught. I have felt so welcomed and blessed to be a Badger pup in the Mile High Family. I have three boys and love to watch them grow in their own way. You can most often find me on the sidelines of sports games and practices or coaching their teams.

    • Middle school can be a big jump from elementary school and has many challenges, but it is also a great time to get involved and to make new friends. We encourage our students to communicate any emotional or academic concerns to the office or their teachers. We are here to support your child and to guide them to be the best person possible when they leave us in two years. Parents encourage your child to give 100% each day and please communicate any needs and reach out for help as family involvement is crucial to a student's success.

    • As we look to our future at Mile High Middle School, we can see that we will continue to grow and develop skills for all students to become successful, lifelong learners and community builders. We believe to prepare kids for life by providing the essentials for well-rounded growth and we do this through Capturing Kids Hearts. Capturing Kids’ Hearts is a process used by schools across the nation to build stronger relationships with students. The primary focus of CKH is to develop healthy relationships and teach effective skills that help students increase self-management, increase positive behaviors, reinforce emotional intelligence, increase classroom rapport, develop empathy, and increase motivation.

I look forward to the upcoming school year and continuing to create relationships with all of the students and families of Mile High Middle School.
